When you walk into MAFCU’s Dorchester Lower Mills branch at 1205 Adams Street, you know this no ordinary financial institution. The open space and warm décor invite you to sit down and stay a while. The Financial Resource Library has shelves of information on a variety of financial topics of interest. The friendly staff is helpful and welcoming.
After a year-long renovation of this historic Federal-period building, MAFCU Federal Credit Union is open for business. MAFCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned by and operated solely for its members. Dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our members and the communities we serve, our cooperative structure means we are committed to helping members achieve financial stability. MAFCU focuses on three strategic areas – service to members, financial education, and community involvement.
“The MAFCU team is thrilled to be in this dynamic neighborhood,” says Nicole James, MAFCU President and CEO. “We are here to serve the financial needs of our members, and individuals and businesses in the area, and are delighted to be part of this community.”
The branch features 24-hour ATM access (lobby and drive thru), drive-thru teller service, a financial resource center, and Saturday hours. The branch is open: Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 am to 4 pm; Thursday, 8:30 am to 6 pm; Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm; Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm.
